In addition to the bikes which are stationed at the farm projects, the Anna Foundation also offers a development cycling team for farm children showing interest and talent in mountain biking. These children are trained weekly by Geddan Ruddock from Manic Cycles. They participate in local fun rides and events such as the Burger Sanlam and MTB Argus. We are particularly proud of our new Bike Workshop! We converted an old horse stable into our very own (and totally rustic!) bike ‘office’. The development team will come here to learn the skills necessary to maintain their bikes. Who knows, maybe some day they will be offering this as a service to you!

This is a brilliant idea. These biking kids could teach my townee family how to mountain-bike on their farm. It's wonderfully noncompetitive fun (I suppose it can also develop into competition) but also teaches responsibility and road sense. Ten out of ten to the Anna Foundation.
